NORTH-EAST CHALLENGE
Campbelltown - 16th Nov 2008

A competition held between 4 local Centres on a rotating basis. Points are awarded to the best performer in each event for each club. Parents of participating athletes will be required to assist in officiating. We need the support of athletes and parents to try to win the North-East Challenge Trophy.

STATE RELAY DAY
SANTOS STADIUM - 14th Dec 2008

A team event for either track or field teams for U/9-17 athletes. The coaching staff will select teams early in the season from interested athletes. There will be no home meet for U/9+ on Relay Day. This is an all day commitment – event times may be altered without prior notice so our full team should arrive early to avoid disappointing other team members. Parents of competing athletes MUST officiate on Relay Day.

PERSONAL BEST DAY
SANTOS STADIUM - 18th Jan 2008

A competition for all U/6-17 athletes. Personal Best Day gives athletes the opportunity to compete in 5 events (2 track/3 field or vice versa) and try to achieve their best performance at Santos Stadium. Events are staggered throughout the day. It can be a long day for younger athletes, with large groups and long waiting periods. There is no necessity to stay all day, just try 1 or 2 events if preferred. All athletes attending must report to the Magill recorders, and all parents will be assigned an officiating task, regardless of the number of events athletes undertake.

ALAN IVERSEN MULTI EVENT DAY
SANTOS STADIUM - 22nd Feb 2009

A competition comprises 5 pre-selected events for athletes from U/9-17. All eligible athletes may take part, regardless of ability. Juniors, U/6-8s and Tiny Tots will have a home meeting. As there is an opportunity for all senior athletes to compete, there will be no senior programme offered at home.

STATE INDIVIDUAL CHAMPIONSHIPS
SANTOS STADIUM - 21st-22nd March 2009

Each child is allowed to enter 5 events and must equal or better the qualifying standard twice by 15th February 2008. All entry forms MUST be returned on or before this date. They must be registered and compete at 50% of Centre meetings on a minimum of 6 occasions. The qualifying standards and program are included on the ‘Commonwealth Bank’ Sheet and are issued to U/9-17 athletes at the time of registration and are listed in the back of this book.
